A strong member of the All Progressives Congress, APC who is also eyeing the House of Representatives seat in Ijebu Central Federal Constituency, Prince Gbolade Yusuf will in few days time kickstart a massive political rally to sensitise the people towards the 2027 ambition of Sen Adeola Yayi.
The rally which s being organised by Prince Yusuf political movement is intensifying efforts to rally grassroots support for the governorship ambition of Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, with a major mobilisation event scheduled to hold in Ijebu Ode on Wednesday April 29th 2026 .
Speaking with journalists on Sunday, Convener of the Igbalode Movement, Prince Gbolade Yusuf, said the initiative is aimed at uniting people across different segments of society to strengthen grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 election cycle.
He noted that the rally is part of a broader strategy to encourage active participation, particularly among young people, in shaping the political future of the state. According to him, the movement is driven by a growing desire among youths to move beyond passive observation to meaningful involvement in governance and development.
Prince Yusuf emphasized that while societal challenges persist, the youth population possesses the creativity, resilience, and determination needed to drive progress. He stressed that leadership should be defined not by titles but by measurable impact, including job creation, quality education, and rebuilding public trust.
Referencing Senator Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) as a leader capable of connecting with the aspirations of the people, Yusuf maintained that the movement is focused on promoting governance that reflects the needs and expectations of the populace, rather than projecting any individual as infallible.
The statement further underscored the readiness of young people to support and actively contribute to governance through innovation, accountability, and community-focused initiatives. According to Yusuf, the future must be defined by visible development, accessible opportunities, and leadership measured by results rather than rhetoric.
The movement concluded its call by urging citizens, especially youths, to embrace unity and collective responsibility in building a more prosperous and people-focused Ogun State.
