Ogun 2023: ‘My Administration Will Be A Better Alternative If Elected’ -Hon Harrison Adeyemi

A former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, who represented Ogun Waterside constituency, Hon. Adeyemi Harrison, has declared his intention to contest for the state governorship seat in the 2023 general election.

Harrison, a two term member of the House of Assembly made his intention known during a flagoff of his governorship ambition in Ijebu Ode on Tuesday.

The former lawmaker stated that he would be contesting under the platform of African Action Congress (AAC).

Harrison promised an all inclusive government if he becomes the governor of the state.

He added that qualitative and affordable education, health care services would be paramount in his administration, saying that agriculture and provision of basic amenities would not be left behind.

He called on the people of the state to join hands and support his ambition,saying that the state needed a God fearing personality to move forward to a greater height.

On reasons why he considered himself as the better alternative for the governorship seat, Harrison said all those who have ruled the state with exception to few were accidental leaders who are not interested in the future of the people of the state.

“I have set up a team known as Ogun Golden Time who are basically professionals in their chosen fields. Our task is to come up with a solid blueprint for the rebirth of Gateway state. Our so called accidental leaders have messed up our resources, but now is the time for a new agenda in Ogun state”, he added.

Harrison stressed further that for instance, the farm settlements built by Chief Obafemi Awolowo have been exploited by past administrations for selfish agenda and at the detriment of people of the state.

The former lawmaker said his administration if elected would however right the wrong of past Governors in the state.
