As Ogun State prepares for the 2027 gubernatorial election, the choice before us could not be clearer. On one side stands Senator Yayi, a quintessential democrat with a proven track record of leadership and service. On the other side stands Hon. Ladi Adebutu, whose desperation and cowardice have become the defining features of his political career.
Ogun State, the Gateway State, is experiencing a resurgence under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun CON. Infrastructure is being rebuilt, investments are flowing, and the state is reclaiming its place as a beacon of progress in Nigeria and the industrial gateway in Africa. This is not the time to hand over the reins to a man whose only claim to relevance is his father’s name and his ability to throw money at problems without offering real solutions.
A History of Failure and Desperation of Hon. Ladi Adebutu’s political journey has been marked by failure and desperation. His 2023 gubernatorial campaign was a disaster, marred by allegations of vote-buying, incompetence, and a complete disconnect from the people he claimed to represent. Rather than accept defeat gracefully, Adebutu resorted to desperate legal battles and baseless accusations, wasting the time and resources of the judiciary.
Senator Yayi: A Quintessential Democrat
In stark contrast, Senator Yayi has demonstrated time and again that he is a leader of substance. A grassroots politician with a deep understanding of Ogun State’s challenges, Yayi has earned the trust and respect of the people. His legislative record speaks volumes, from championing bills that promote economic development to advocating for the rights of the common man.
Yayi’s leadership is not about empty promises or short-term gimmicks. It is about building a sustainable future for Ogun State, one that prioritizes the welfare of all citizens, not just a privileged few. He is a man of integrity, discipline, and vision—qualities that are sorely lacking in his opponent.
Senator Yayi’s consensus Governorship candidacy in Ogun State APC aligns with longstanding demands by Egbados(Ogun West) from the two divisions that madeup Ogun State; Egba/Egbado and Ijebu/Remo Divisions since creation of Ogun State over 50 years ago and equity for a competent representative from the Ogun West senatorial zone district.
The Gateway State Deserves Better
Ogun State is on the rise, and we can not afford to let a desperate coward derail our progress. The choice between Senator Yayi and Hon. Ladi Adebutu is a choice between progress and regression, between leadership and cowardice, between integrity and desperation.
We do not need a man who hides behind his father’s wealth and legacy to seek power. We need a leader who has walked the walk, who understands the struggles of the people, and who is committed to continuing the work of transforming Ogun State into a true gateway to Nigeria’s prosperity.
A Call to Action
As we look ahead to 2027, let us remember the lessons of the past. Let us reject the politics of desperation and embrace the promise of genuine leadership. Senator Yayi is the leader we need—a quintessential democrat who will defend and advance the interests of Ogun State with courage, competence, and conviction.
I want to use this opportunity to advise all oppositions, mostly desperate Hon Ladi Adebutu who is confused on where his actually coming out from whether Egba, Ijebu or Yewa, as we all knows, his coming out from Remo where the serving Governor Dapo Abiodun CON is, while calling for Senator YAYI’s head, should endeavour to focus and campaign on issues based that affect every single poor man in Ogun Street and there manifestoes, not baseless origin and personal attacks on the personality of Senator Yayi, whose his legislative record, financial management skills, and infrastructural contributions to Ogun West as an outstanding member of the National Assembly as a Senator with quantitative effectiveness and efficiency unmatched! After which, the traditional institutions in both Yewaland and Egbaland have thoroughly vetted and affirmed Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon’s ancestry.
The Gateway State is on the move. Let us ensure it stays that way.
Vote Senator Yayi 2027: A Leader We Can Trust, and All APC Candidates.
Sincerely yours
KESHIRO Sulayman OluwaSesan ONILOGBO (KSO)
