Okubadejo To Join Global Leaders At Commonwealth Trade And Investment Summit 2026 In London

The Ogun State Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, Hon. Oladapo Okubadejo will participate in the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit 2026, scheduled to hold at the historic Mansion House, London on 20–21 April 2026.

Okubadejo is expected to speak at a high-level plenary session titled “Balancing Energy Security and Decarbonisation”, taking place on 21 April, alongside global policymakers, investors, and energy sector leaders.

The session will focus on the growing tension between climate action and energy security, particularly as countries navigate rising geopolitical uncertainty, supply chain pressures, and unequal access to energy infrastructure and finance.

He will be joined on the panel by international experts including Rob Macaire CMG of Chatham House (Chair), Tim Calver of ITM Power, Jennifer Pryce of Calvert Impact, and Jeremy Wrathall of Cornish Lithium.

Discussions are expected to cover the future of green hydrogen, critical minerals supply chains, and the role of impact investing in financing a just energy transition across both developed and developing economies.

For Ogun State, Okubadejo’s participation highlights ongoing efforts to position the state within global investment and policy conversations, particularly around economic diversification, infrastructure financing, and sustainable development planning.
