2027: Opposition Partyless, Disorganised, Claims APC Candidate Sen Adeola

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State for the 2027 poll, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, otherwise known as Yayi, has boasted that the opposition will have no platform to contest the 2027 elections in the state.

Adeola said the opposition is currently “partyless” and running helter-skelter to rectify its shortcomings.

Speaking at the APC Interfaith Prayer and Praise Concert for 2027 victory, the Ogun West senator declared that God has already cleared the path for the APC’s victory without a fight.

“There will be nobody, because they are all partyless. They are running helter-skelter to rectify their shortcomings but God has spoken that He is going to give us victory without a fight,” Adeola stressed.

He added that the same God who will give President Bola Tinubu victory will make him the 17th governor of Ogun State.

He said the prayers offered at the gathering would culminate in victory for the party at all levels, beginning with the presidential election scheduled for 16 January 2027.

The senator expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would be re-elected, alongside APC candidates contesting National Assembly seats in Ogun State.

Adeola also prayed for divine support for his emergence as the next governor of the state.

The regional evangelist of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Johnson Kalejaiye, who delivered the sermon at the event, prophesied that God will clear the coast for Ogun APC and lead the party to victory without a fight.

He warned political parties to shun campaigns of calumny and hate speech capable of triggering violence.

In his remarks, Governor Dapo Abiodun said the interfaith gathering was to put God first and commit the journey to 2027 into His hands, expressing confidence that their heart desires would be granted.

The governor recalled the turbulence that characterised his own journey in 2018, noting that despite all odds, God made him a testimony.

“When we started in 2018, it was not like this at all; it was tough. But God has used me as a testimony. God of 2018 is still around, and He will continue to allow us to embark on a smooth transition from a sitting governor to the incoming governor,” Abiodun said.

The prayer concert was attended by former Governor Olusegun Osoba, Minister of Livestock Development Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Ogun APC Chairman Chief Yemi Sanusi and Director General of the APC Campaign Council Senator Lekan Mustapha, as well as Muslim and Christian clerics who prayed for all APC candidates.
