Ramadan: Federal Lawmaker Hon Akinlade Urges Muslims To Pray For Nation’s Peace, Unity

The Chairman, House Committee on Aviation & Aerospace Technology, Rt. Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade has called on Muslims to use the Ramadan fasting period to pray for continuous peace and unity in the country.

 

The Baba Adinni of Yewaland who spoke to journalists on Saturday, shortly after attending the Annual Ramadan lecture of the Ijebu Ode Central Mosque said the country’s challenges are surmountable with fervent prayer and strong belief in the tenets of Islam.

 

Hon Akinlade also urged Muslims to imbibe the spirit of tolerance in order to ensure the nation’s peaceful co-existence.

 

” Muslims should use the period of Ramadan to seek forgiveness from others and forgive those who have offended them in order to gain from the salvation of the Almighty Allah.

 

The federal lawmaker urged Muslims across the country and the world to take the advantage of the Ramadan season and pray fervently for sustainable peace and unity.
