The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kano State said it has arrested 58 suspected drug users and recovered illicit substances at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
The arrest followed a raid conducted by the newly launched “Operation Hana Maye” aimed at combating drug trafficking and abuse in the state.
The command’s spokesman, Sadiq Muhammad Maigatari, said, “As part of the operation, a successful raid was conducted at the Sani Abacha Stadium, resulting in the arrest of 58 suspects and the recovery of various illicit substances.
“The raid was carried out in the evening hours of Wednesday, 17/01/2024, to ensure maximum effectiveness and minimise any potential resistance.”
