As election petition tribunal delivered its judgement today on the Ogun West Senatorial District election held on 25th February, 2023, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Dr Kenny Bello has reacted by congratulating Senator Adeola on his victory at the tribunal.
The tribunal sitting in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital on Thursday upheld the victory of Senator Adeola Solomon Olamilekan “YAYI” at the poll as the duly elected Senator for Ogun West Senatorial District.
Bello, in a statement made available by his Media Office described the tribunal verdict as the victory for the emancipation of rule of law. He further described it as a reflection of the will of the good people of Ogun West Senatorial District as decided through the ballot in the last general elections.
Distinguished Senator Adeola’s victory had been challenged by the candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dada Adeleke.
The chairman of the election petition tribunal Justice Kabir Gabo dismissed all the petition filed by the petitioner for lacking in merit, while also describing it as a mere academic exercise.
Kenny Bello described Senator Adeola as doyen of Nigeria politics, goal getter and consummate politician of high repute. He acknowledged lots of experience he has gained from the political sagacity of the distinguished Senator as a long time ally. While congratulating Senator Adeola, he commended the good people of Ogun West Senatorial District for chosing right in the last general elections.
