PEPT: Kenny Bello Celebrates Pres Tinubu’s Victory, Praises Judiciary

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State and Founder of KAB Foundation (an NGO), Dr Kenny Bello has reacted to the recent judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal by congratulating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the tribunal.

In a statement issued by his Media Office on Wednesday immediately after the judgement and made available to the newsmen.

He extolled the judiciary as the last hope of the common man, and for saving Nigeria ‘s democracy by delivering unbiased judgement outrightly not minding whose ox is gored.

Bello said he “recognizes the diligence, undaunted thoroughness and professionalism of the five – member bench led by Justice Haruna Tsammani in interpreting the law”.

Also the tribunal in his ruling, dismissed all the petitions challenging the election victory of President Tinubu.

The presidential tribunal under the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Wednesday night September 6, upheld the February 25, 2023 election victory of Tinubu and affirmed him as Nigeria’s duly elected president.

In the meantime, the Ijebu East born politician called on Nigerians to collectively give maximum support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s led administration in order to build Nigeria.

Bello urged the aggrieved presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to accept the tribunal judgement verdict in good faith, and join hands with President Tinubu to move the country forward.

“Once elections have been held and a winner is announced, we must follow Good luck Jonathan ‘s doctrine and accept the people’s verdict in the interest of democracy and the nation. Our elections don’t have to end in the courts. But now that we found ourselves in this position, and the courts have spoken, let us put national interest above self interest, accept the verdict and move on so that the nation can advance”, he added.
