Sen Mustapha, Alh Safriyu Bello, Oba Adenugba, Others Highlight Ijebu Fashion Festival

The much talked about event, Ijebu Fashion Festival will hold in few days’ time.

It will be graced by dignitaries from all spheres of life as organisers of Ijebu Fashion Festival is led by fashion entrepreneur, Miss Ayokunle Maraiyesa.

She will put finishing touches to make the day a memorable one.

Addressing newsmen in Abeokuta on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, Maraiyesa said the festival which comprises of several activities will also have top society bigwigs in attendance.

Notable people expected to add glamour to the event include; Sen. Olalekan Mustapha, (senator representing Ogun East), Oba Adbdul rasaq Adenugba, (Ebumawe of Ago Iwoye), Alhaji Safiriyu Adebanjo Kazeem, (CEO SAF Petroleum), Olori Olanike Adenugba, Yeye Abidemi Ogundipe, and Prince (Dr.) Feyisayo Soyewo, among others.

Speaking further on the festival, Maraiyesa added that the “Ijebu Fashion Festival is a local platform, that is designed for fresh and emerging designers and artists who want exposure but do not have great finances for international shows or organize their own private shows.

We also give them the opportunity to showcase and mingle with established designers and other stakeholders in the industry.

Our main focus is to use fashion as an instrument of sustainability, social change and to celebrate our common heritage as an ethnic with its own unique fashion trends.

We also seek to create awareness, recognition and appreciation of budding and local designers in Ijebu community.

“This fashion event is first of its kind in Ogun state and it is our pride that it is happening in Ago Iwoye”, she added.

The event according to her will hold between November 11 and 12, has major activities which includes masterclasses, trade fair, game and fashion shows as well as pageantry.
