NOUN Director, Dr Ishola Seeks Host Community Support For Rapid Development
The Director, National Open University of Nigeria NOUN, Awa-Ijebu campus, Dr. Ishola has charged students of the institution to be more determined, dedicated and focused towards attaining academic excellence.
Dr Ishola who spoke with newsmen at the weekend said the institution, which has a zero tolerance for examination malpractices, cultism, indecent dressings, Internet fraud and other social vices, was designed to produce graduates that will make the nation proud.
According to him, the Awa-Ijebu Campus in accordance with the directive of Vice Chancellor of NOUN recently admitted new set of students into the school, to study courses ranging from Criminology and Security Studies, Mass Communication, Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, among other courses.
The Director pointed out that the management of NOUN has created an enabling environment for the students populace, assuring the new intakes of better days in the university.
He, however, appealed to the host communities of the institution, philanthropists and other well meaning Nigerians to contribute their quota to the development of the institution.
Dr. Ishola said the communities should see the institution as their personal project, and therefore see to its uplifting to the zenith.
