The attention of the Ogun State Government has been drawn to a fraudulent message circulating across social media and messaging platforms claiming that Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun is offering a ₦20,000 Youth Empowerment Cash Transfer through an online registration link.
The message is completely false and should be disregarded.
The link being circulated — https://dapo-20k-youth-empowerment.urlnub.com — is not an official Ogun State Government website and has no connection whatsoever with Governor Dapo Abiodun or any government empowerment programme.
Members of the public are strongly advised not to click the link, register, or provide any personal, banking, BVN, OTP or other sensitive information, as it is a phishing scam designed to defraud unsuspecting individuals.
Residents are further urged to:
* Ignore and delete the message immediately.
* Refrain from forwarding or sharing it with others.
* Verify all government programmes and announcements only through the official communication channels of the Ogun State Government.
The relevant security agencies have been notified, and efforts are underway to identify and bring those behind this fraudulent scheme to justice.
The Ogun State Government remains committed to protecting residents from cyber fraud and urges everyone to remain vigilant against fake empowerment schemes and misleading online promotions.
