My name is Adebowale Emmanuel Ogunwo, and I was born on June 4, 1983, in Ibido, Ijebu, a town steeped in rich cultural heritage. I am a proud son of the Fusengbuwa (Jadiara) ruling house—one of the respected royal lineages in Ijebuland. I descend from a legacy of leadership and service: my grandfather, the late Otunba Zacchaeus Adekoya Ogunwo, fondly known for founding Charity Transport, was a man of great enterprise and vision. My parents, the late Otunba Olaide Ogunwo and Mrs. Kudirat Odufejo of Ijasi, Ijebu-Ode. Results-driven geoscientist and energy executive with over 17 years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations across Africa and Europe.

Interest in The Throne

My intention and interest in the throne were formally communicated to the Head of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, under the leadership of Otunba Dokun Ajidagba. In accordance with tradition, the Ikaro ceremony was performed for me on 20th July 2025 at the Ruling House (Ile Nla) in Ijebu Ode.
