Why I Joined Ogun Assembly Race, Daytayo Moshood Opens Up

An aspirant for the Ogun State House of Assembly, Odogbolu State Constituency, Hajji Moshood Adetayo Abubakar Langbodo has opened up on the reasons behind his decision to join partisan politics, citing a strong desire to contribute to grassroots development and provide effective representation for his people.

 

Abubakar, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) made this known while speaking to journalists on Sunday.

The young and vibrant politician explained that his decision to contest was driven by his passion to make a difference and address pressing socio-economic challenges affecting residents of the constituency.

The aspirant noted that his background in entertainment and youth engagement has given him valuable insight into the needs, creativity, and potential of young people, stressing that these experiences would guide his approach to representation.

According to him “I have always been close to the people, especially the youth. I understand their struggles, their dreams, and their expectations. This inspired me to step forward and be part of the process that will shape a better future for our constituency”.

Abubakar appreciated the support and encouragement he has received since declaring his intention, adding that the growing acceptance has strengthened his resolve to serve diligently.

He also revealed the importance of unity, inclusiveness, and people-centered leadership, noting that effective representation must reflect the true aspirations of the grassroots.

Abubakar stated that Odogbolu State Constituency requires vibrant and responsive representation that will attract development, empower young people, and improve the overall standard of living.

He also declared his support for the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, describing him as a visionary leader capable of moving Ogun State forward.

Abubakar added that his aspiration is in line with the broader progressive agenda aimed at ensuring sustainable growth and development across the state.

The aspirant pledged to prioritise youth and women empowerment, support for creative talents, and initiatives that will boost local enterprise and economic opportunities.

Abubakar, therefore, called on party faithful and residents of Odogbolu to support his ambition, promising transparent, inclusive, and impactful representation.
