Hon. Jamiu Keshinro is a former Councilor in Abeokuta North Local Government during the administration of Chief Aremo Olusegun Osoba as Governor of Ogun State. He is the current Special Adviser on Media and Publications to the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Honourable Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo in an exclusive interview with national reprorts spoke about the achievements of the current administration in Abeokuta North

Q: Can we meet you sir?
I am Hon Jamiu Keshinro. I am the SA on Media and Publications to the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo.
Q: Can you tell us positions, you have held so far before this new appointment?
I have held several positions. I was a councilor between 1999&2002. I represented Totoro/ Sokori Ward in Abeokuta North. I also held the position of member of Education Committee between 2005& January 2008. I was a special Adviser on Youth and Sports between January 2008 and December 2010. Up till now, i am the State Coordinator for LG Ex Political Office Holders in Ogun State (December 2007 to December 2010 set).
I had party leadership experience too. I was once a Ward Chairman in my ward. I later became a Senatorial Publicity Secretary and finally an ex-officio of APC Abeokuta North in 2018
Q: What are your achievements then?
I was able to perform beyond the expectations of the people of Abeokuta North. The achievements are there, people can testify to it. When i was a Councilor, i made my people proud and up till now when they see me, they remind me of my past record.
Q: What can you say about your Principal, Hon. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo
The fact is that this current administration in Abeokuta North ably led by Hon Dr Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo is very unique. Unique in the sense that he wasted no time in proving to the whole world that he meant business. Perhaps because he is a successful businessman. He first of all gave the LG secretariat a befitting look. He renovated and upgraded the buildings. He brought in new furnitures, transformed the registry and above all he is a worker friendly. The LG workers under the umbrella of NULGE testified openly that the chairman has done well.
Q: Can you tell us his achievements so far?
He has made unprecedented achievements that are visible, people have seen it all and they are testifying to it, such as, Construction of benches and chairs for the primary school pupils. Provision of Boreholes. Total rehabilitation of the council grader to enhance performance. Provision of Solar lights in all the 16 wards. Construction of a toilet at Gbagura. Care for the Aged. Health Insurance for the motorcycle riders. Complete rehabilitation of a school at Keesan Orile in Oke Ogun. Renovation of the LG secretariat, upgrading of the registry. Establishment of a training acquisition center in the LG which a complete building was dedicated for and many projects like that and i want to tell you that more people’s oriented projects are still coming just watch out be expecting more people oriented projects. They should know that Asoludero of Oke Ona is indeed here to turn things around for a better in our great LG
Q: With all these, will you will say he has performed better than ex council chairmen in the LG
By the time he finishes his tenure in 2027, our people will either re-elect him or give him a higher responsibility. Recently, he commissioned 17 fantastic projects. These projects were spread across the 4 corners of the LG. From Oke Ona to Gbagura to Owu to Oke Ogun. Lanre came prepared and he has left no one in doubt about that.
Q: You have been into politics for years and you have witnessed several administrations, what can you say about the current administration of Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun?
The Governor is simply ARCHIEVER, Governor Dapo Abiodun. Several people have been asking me this question. Some even say he has not done anything in Abeokuta being the state capital. I quickly reminded them of how the last administration left Abeokuta with many uncompleted projects. Governor Abiodun came and completed several abandoned roads in Abeokuta. We have seen Kuto road and bridge, part of Lafenwa/Rounder was completed by him, Sanni/Olomore was reconstructed and completed by his administration. Kemta/Obantoko road and several others including Lantoro/Elite road. He has been trying his very best to cater for the workers and the pensioners. Just last Tuesday, Ogun State witnessed the first take off of a commercial flight. No government can do it all. He has really tried. We all can see his achievements.
