The executive chairman of Ijebu East LG Area of Ogun State, Hon Wale Adedayo has rolled out numerous conducive welfare package for the staff of the local government council.
The council boss made the disclosure on Thursday while holding the maiden official meeting with all the workers of the council inside the secretariat in Ogbere.
Hon Adedayo charged workers to shun truancy and also be dedicated and committed to their official duty. He, however, promised to provide enabling environment that would make workers to be more efficient and effective at work.
“In no distant time, our administration would establish creche for children of the local government staff where good care would be taken for them while their mothers are on duty during the working hours. The moribund NULGE Canteen in the local government secretariat would be resuscitated. Staff bus would be made available for the workers”.
“Not only that, free internet services. i.e WiFi would be made available for staff for easy access during the working hours, while laptops also be provided for each Head of Departments (HOD’s) as well”, the chairman noted.
He outlined further that adequate security would be provided for all workers of the local government while on duty, noting that provision of security for lives and properties of residents of Ijebu East LG is germane to his administration.
“Our proposed 150 housing units of two and three bedrooms flat respectively that is going to be a low cost housing estate would be made available and sold to workers who are interested of owning a house. The housing units would be meant for the low income earners and not for the elites in the society”, Wale Adedayo added.
In the same vein, the human rights activist turned politican narrated that all benefits that would be available in his administration would be shared to both the politicians and council workers accordingly.
The NULGE Chairman of Ijebu East LG Chapter Comrade Mayowa Olugbuyi on behalf of his colleagues thanked the council chairman for his good plans towards eradicating workers suffering as well as providing enabling environment for council workers for efficiency to strive.
The number one labor man in the local government area further pledged total support for the Wale Adedayo led administration and also prayed for his success in all ramifications.
