In celebration of this year’s Children’s Day, the Poultry Association of Nigeria, Ogun State (PANOG) Ijebu Zone, brought smiles to the faces of children across Ijebu land by donating eggs and delivering a strong message of health, hope, and support for the leaders of tomorrow.
The event, held under the leadership of the PANOG Ijebu Zonal Chairman, Had’j Femi Gafar, drew children from Odogbolu, Ijebu Ode, Ijebu North, Ijebu East, Ijebu North East, and Ijebu Waterside.
Speaking at the event, Had’j Gafar warmly welcomed the children and reminded them of their worth, calling them “shining stars, future leaders, and the pride of our land.”
“You are special. You matter. And you deserve to be celebrated,” he said.
He emphasized the importance of nutrition, particularly the health benefits of eggs, describing them as “superfoods” that support brain development, strengthen the body, and enhance learning ability. According to him, the association’s gesture was not just about distributing eggs, but about “planting hope” in the hearts of young Nigerians.
“As farmers, we believe that a healthy child is a happy child,” Gafar noted. “We want every child here to know that we believe in your future, and we will continue to support your health and education in any way we can.”
He encouraged the children to dream big, work hard, and uphold values such as respect for parents, teachers, and elders.
