Market men and women in ijebu ode has been charged to embrace the culture of cleanliness as it’s next to Godliness.
This was made known during a visit to Oke-Aje market by the Ijebu ode Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Dare Alebiosu.
Speaking with Newsmen in Ijebu-ode, Hon. Alebiosu said good health can only be achieved if we keep the market environment clean by making sure that the weekly environmental sanitation on every Thursday is taking seriously as cleanliness is next to godliness.
The Council boss emphasized on the need to always maintain cleanliness and desist from roadside trading
In his words” I want to urge our traders to desist from displaying their goods by the road side, so as not to affect the free flow of Traffic and also maintain a clean and hygienic environment as it will be beneficial to all and sundry adding that market women and men must embrace the culture of clean environment.
Hon Alebiosu pledged that his administration is committed at creating a safe and clean environment for everyone.
He then urged the market women and men to cooperate with the Local Government Authority.
