The chairman of Ogun Waterside Local Government, Hon. Adekunle Abdulateef Mudashiru has harped on the need for the right use of Insecticide Treated Nets to prevent malaria attack in the Local Government.
The Local Government boss ,who spoke on Thursday during the flag-off of the distribution of insecticide nets in the Local Government at Abigi, stated that wrong use of the nets could hamper health investment in malaria prevention from the Society for Family Health (SFH) , Federal and Ogun state Governments.
He said ,“malaria is no doubt one of the leading killer diseases that affect children, young and adults.It is caused by mosquito bite and has affected the lives of many Nigerians and the socio-economic development of the country. It is in view of this, I want to call for effective use of mosquito nets to eliminate malaria in Ogun Waterside Local Government.”
