2023: Ogun Ex-Deputy Speaker, Dare Maba Sets To Dump APC For PDP

Former Deputy Speaker of the Ogun state House of Assembly, Hon Dare Kadiri may likely dump the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)  to pitch tent with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Gateway Times Nigeria can reliably inform.

Indication to this emerged at the weekend when the lawmaker representing Ifelodun constituency in the state Assembly paid a courtesy visit to the residence of the Deputy Minority Whip of the House of Representatives and a PDP Chieftain in the state, Hon Abdel-Majid Adesegun Adekoya (Attacker) in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun state.

Gateway Times Nigeria reports that the unscheduled meeting may not be unconnected with Hon Kadiri final plan to dump APC.

Though, the duo later went into a closed-door meeting which lasted  over 3 hours, an inside source revealed that the state lawmaker prominently known in the Ogun political circle as Dare Maba pledged his support for Hon Adekoya, who is eyeing a re-election into the Green Chamber ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Further information also has it that the state lawmaker thereafter addressed members of the Ago-Iwoye Youth Forum, and stressed the need to lend their support to leaders who have consistently identified with the community.

Dare Maba recently stepped down his House of Representatives ambition on the platform of APC. Gateway Times Nigeria further gathered that he had since kept his next political move to his chest.

Findings revealed that Hon Dare’s mother, also known as Iya Maba, an experienced grassroots politician of the old bloc is tipped as one of the political bigwigs in the state who calls the shot in the area.
