
A Nigerian lady has disappeared into thin air after she reportedly escaped a dragnet of traditionalists who had planned to use her for rituals in line with the belief of lineage.
A reliable source within her community in Ijebu who preferred anonymity disclosed that ritualists acting under the strict instruction of the lady’s parents who were said to be adherents of Ogun worshippers initially wanted to abduct the lady, but for divine intervention, she got wind of the ploy and fled the town.
The lady simply identified as Odedele Olajumoke Omotola and lived in Sabo Junction community area of the town, according to another source close to her family knew that her parents whose name were given as Ogunleye Omoniyi David and Ogunleye Olayinka Olaide respectively were age-long worshippers of Ogun, the god of iron.
She was revealed that the plan of the ritualists was to force the innocent lady to carry the sacrifice into the evil forest as the first daughter of her parents.
The source added that despite the constitutional provision against human mutilation and ritual killings, the family are used to the traditional believe within their lineage of forcefully using their first daughter as sacrifices to appease the gods.
On the fateful day, the relation shared the sad story that the family in conjunction with the community had concluded plans to take the lady to the evil and thick forest dreaded to be a ghost area before a night guard, otherwise known as Vigilante in Ijebu leaked the ploy to her, before she narrowly escaped.
The middle-age man in his 50s disclosed further that though, the tragic incident happened in October 2018, the lady said to be a devoted Christian and widely known as a prayer warrior in the area actually disappeared to an unknown destination sometimes in 2023.
The community we further gathered had since then been looking for her in a bid to bring her back to their shrine in continuation of the ritual purpose.
