To compliment Ogun state government in its efforts at infrastructure provision , the Ijebu-Ode Lions Club has reconstructed a 4-classroom block as donation to Odua Comprehensive High School Imoru Ijebu, in Ijebu Ode area of Ogun state.
At the formal handing ceremony of the ultra-modern building to the school recently, the President of the humanitarian club, Otunba Ayo Osisanya said, “The project in Odua Comprehensive High School is part of giving back to the community, and today will go down in history as one of my happiest days.
I want to use this opportunity also to thank every donors and let them know that without them this project can not come to reality. I want to say it one more time that I really appreciate you all for supporting my dream. Also I want to appreciate the main men on the field, Lion Jeje, Lion Alaga, Lion Akrawa for doing all the running around and making sure this project comes to fulfillment. I sincerely appreciate you all”, he added.
The President who noted that education is one of the most important sectors of the socio-econmic development of any country, added that irrespective of the richness of a school curriculum, the environment must also play a key role as it must be relatively conducive for effective learning to take place, which informed the decision of the church to embark on the project.
Otunba Osisanya, who doubles as Otunba Oriade of Ijebu Ife Kingdom however charged the students to be steadfast in their learning, stick to their dreams and vision in order to remain relevant to the society.
“You are the future leaders and you can all become all that you wanted to be in life. And when you become great, do not forget Odua Comprehensive High School that helps in shaping your life,” Otunba Osisanya concluded.
