A leading aspirant for the House of Representatives on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Barrister (Hon) Taiwo Shote has declared his intention to contest the House of Representatives seat in Ijebu Central Federal constituency ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Shote, widely known in Ogun political circle as “Pepe” made the official declaration at his Ward 2 political unit in Ijebu Ode Local Government on Thursday, April 14, 2022.
The leading aspirant in his remarks at the event said he came out to contest for the love he has for the people of his federal constituency, stressing that going to the House of Representatives will enable him to make good legislations, give effective representation and attract life-impacting projects to his constituents.
The quiet and soft-spoken dude, known for his low-key philanthropic lifestyle, has empowered several homes in Ijebuland long before aspiring for the House of Representatives seat.
Shote added that as a private businessman, it has always been his joy in seeing his neighbours in relatively comfortable positions and living standards.
He assured the party stakeholders and his teeming supporters that he will not disappoint them when he finally gets to the green chamber.
According to him, power should be entrusted in the hands of people with integrity and love for the people who know where the shoe pinches the downtrodden.
Barrister Shote, however, appealed to party leaders and other PDP loyalists in Ijebu North East, Odogbolu and Ijebu Ode local governments to be more united in ensuring that the party comes out victorious in the next general elections.
