… Meets with Ogun West APC Leaders On Tuesday
The Federal Commissioner representing
Ogun State at Federal Character Commission, Rt. Hon Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade, has formally expressed his interest to vie for the Ogun West senatorial seat in 2023.
In a letter of intent personally signed by Akinlade and addressed to Ogun West senatorial chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Azeez, the three-term former House of Representatives member said he is counting on the support of the APC leadership for his aspiration.
Akinlade, who is the Baba Adinni of Yewaland, also disclosed in the letter that he will be meeting with the leadership of the party on Tuesday, 12th April, 2022 at Ilaro.
The FCC Commissioner, who is a frontrunner for the Ogun West seat ticket, stressed the need for party supremacy in the state.
The letter read: “I humbly write to intimate you of my utmost intention to contest for the Senate seat
of Ogun West Senatorial District in the 2023 General Election under our great Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
” Consequently, I respectfully seek to meet with the Ogun West Leadership of our great party on Tuesday, 12th April, 2022. Time: 11:00am”
Expected at the meeting are the Senatorial Executives , local government Executives, Ogun West Senatorial District political office holders and Ogun West Political leaders amongst others
