LAGOS- Activities marking the 2021 reunion and term elections of the class of 94/99 Mass Communication graduates of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta came to a climax yesterday at the Ohio’s Lounge of Ostra Event Centre, Otunba Jobi Fele Way , Agidingbi , Ikeja .
Highpoint of the event was the announcement of the 3 million naira business support fund for members amidst the swearing -in ceremony of the newly elected officers for the 2021/2023 executive year.
In his acceptance speech, the President of the Association; Lanre Oyegbola who was returned to serve another term expressed his appreciation amidst the promise to embark on an all inclusive administrative style which would further engage every member of the association through sub committees for robust delivery.
Further butressing his administrations resolve to ensure an all round inclusion, he announced the donation of 500 thousand naira to kick start the 3 million naira business fund for small businesses; whose administration would be carried out by a select group of accomplished entrepreneurs of sound business pedigrees.
Line up of the newly elected executive members include Adebayo Adeoshun as Vice President, Fadeke Omo-Omorodion as General Secretary, Gbadamosi Sulaiman as Assistant General Secretary and Aderonke Lawson as Financial Officer.
Other elected members of the executive committee are Johanna Ogundowo who was elected as the Social Secretary, Ngozi Idowu the Welfare Secretary, Olufunke Ogunlade the Chief Whip, Adetutu Yakub the Treasurer, Oludayo Idowu the PRO , while Wale Jimoh and Goke Dairo emerged as the Ex-Officio members 1 & 2.
