The Ijebu East LG Chairman, Hon Wale Adedayo, has urged the youth in the local government area to set agenda for themselves in order to achieve desired goals.
The chairman gave the advise on Tuesday while receiving in audience the APC Ijebu East LG Youth Leader, Mr Remilekun Badejo, alongside other youth leaders from the 11 Wards of the local government area at his office in Ogbere.
The youth friendly chairman assured them of his total support in all ramifications.
While assuring them of youth empowerment and development, he urged them to be in unity, as well as sincerity of purpose.
Adedayo encouraged them to remain focused, and commence holding youth meetings regularly in order for them to remain relevant in the political circle.
“The more meetings you hold, the more important you become. There must be a cohesion within the youth folks”, the chairman noted.
Earlier, the youth leader of APC Ogbere Ward, Comrade Olukayode Okubadejo, had acknowledged and eulogized the council chairman on his good governance and initiatives he has embarked upon assuming office.
Okubadejo further called on the chairman to extend his good work to Ogbere town.
On responding, Hon Wale Adedayo noted that Ogbere being the local government headquarters deserves a befitting status beyond its present situation, he, however, assured that Ogbere will not be left out of the deserved projects and development that will give it a befitting status during his administration.
Also in the meeting were Hon Fasheyi Akindele the Leader of the House Ijebu East Legislative Council, Hon Bolutife Osunfisan, the Deputy Leader, Hon Musemil Akeju the Majority Leader and other serving councillors in the local government, the majority of whom belong to the youth constituency.
