The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ijebu East Chapter will hold its grand rally to round-off its campaign activities tomorrow (Thursday) at Itawade park, Ijebu-Ife.
In a statement released on Wednesday and signed by the Director of Organisation of the Ijebu East APC Central Campaign Committee (CCC), Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye, the grand rally will be preceded by a tour of Ijebu Ife Ward One and Two in the morning.
Expected at the final rally slated for 2pm are the party leaders in the LG, and members from all the eleven wards of Ijebu East and the general public.
Oladunjoye thanked all the members of the CCC, the leaders of the party, the candidates and their supporters for the peaceful conduct of the campaign and also for the warm reception accorded Governor Dapo Abiodun when he visited the local government last week to drum up support for the APC Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. . Wale Adedayo and all other candidates of the party for the local government elections slated for Saturday.
“We are also appreciative of the assurances of support for our candidates so far received from traditional rulers, artisans, professional groups, market men and women, religious groups, associations and other stakeholders in the local government”, Oladunjoye said.
The statement urged the people of Ijebu East to troop-out in large numbers to vote for APC candidates at the elections and ensure that their votes count.
