Towards maintaining hygienic and healthy environment, the Yewa South Transition Committee Chairman, Alhaji Ramon Fagbenro has promised to make available necessary equipment that would make the monthly environmental sanitation in the area more effective.
Alhaji Fagbenro made the promise while monitoring the monthly environmental sanitation alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget and Planning, Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Dada in Ilaro, Ogun West Senatorial District of the State.
According to the Chairman, “there has been laxity but, with cooperation of the police and the environmental officials, things went well. We were able to make some arrest to enforce law and order at ensuring that we feel the impact of the sanitation.
“By the grace of God, next sanitation will be better as more equipment will be available for the exercise. I implore our people to cooperate with the local government officials, in order to ensure smooth and effective sanitation exercise”.
In her contribution, Mrs. Dada pointed out that the presence of the law enforcement officers made the exercise successful, as there was a large turnout of people for the exercise.
“So far, there has been a bit of compliance as a result of the presence of the officials from the State and the Local Governments including the Police Force. My advice to our people is for them to stay indoors and do the needful between 7am and 10am. It is for the good of everyone of us”, she said.
