Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State has been lauded for its contribution towards the actualization of Tech-Hub project initiative of Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration.
Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Olatokunbo Talabi gave the commendation during an inspection of the Institution’s tech hub centre within the campus in Ijebu-Ode, reiterating government’s commitment to the adoption of modern techniques that could boost teaching and learning in tertiary institutions across the State.
Talabi, who expressed satisfaction at the technological advancement of the institution, said the present administration created Ogun Tech-Hub initiative to ignite creative and innovative social tech ventures in the State and beyond.
“I have visited the tech hub centre of the institution and I am indeed really impressed with what I have seen. This is a welcome development coming from a government owned tertiary institution. Our administration would continue to offer meaningful support to the institution at every opportunity”, he stated.
The State Scribe thereafter promised his support through a personal donation of five Computer Sets and other accessories to the Centre.
The Acting Director of the Centre, Ademola Adenubi stated that the technological innovation centre was targeted at encouraging mentorship amongst the students, provide innovative opportunities and make teaching and learning more participatory.
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, disclosed that the institution embarked on the projects to adopt modern teaching methods, with the aid of Information Communication Technology (ICT) devices that could make education system in the State more engaging for the students.
